Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is presently midway through the four-year contract he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The veteran forward has scored an remarkable 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the first significant trophy of his notable career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would welcome to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he previously was, and would definitely consider prolonging his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
